Yesterday, the United States Supreme Court announced that it would hear legal challenges to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»’s admissions process, which currently considers race as one factor among many. The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Black Men’s Forum supports Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»’s admissions process and strongly believes in the importance of creating a diverse campus community. This lawsuit threatens to undermine efforts at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» and universities across the country to diversify their student populations and increase access to institutions of higher learning. As supported by multiple legal victories in lower courts, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»’s admissions process is constitutional and works to create a diverse academic and social experience for all students. In closing, the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Black Men’s Forum urges the Supreme Court to support Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»’s admission process.
